Instructions for the 2025 Parochial Report
Online filing of the 2025 Parochial Report is closed.
The preparation of the report should be part of your end of the year/beginning of a new year administrative work, along with preparing for your annual meeting and implementing a new budget. Prior to being filed, the report must be reviewed and approved by the Vestry or Bishop’s Committee, which means it needs to be on your January or February agenda.
Please note, the report has been streamlined / changed and should be easier to complete than before. Below are some of the highlights of the new form.
The instructions for each line are included on the form itself so there is no longer a separate workbook.
-
If you are using the online Parish Registry the the Episcopal Church rolled out last year (https://parishregister.episcopalchurch.org/) by clicking the button on the top of the Attendance page, your number of services will pre-populate. If you do not already use the online registry, you will need to pull the numbers from your parish register book.
-
The form no longer asks for the names of clergy serving the church; it only needs the number of clergy.
-
Year End Supplemental Information - Lines 13-15 (narratives) are optional. There is now a new Supplemental Financial page included. This is new and its completion is required by the diocese. The instructions for each line are included on the form and should be self-explanatory. If you have questions, contact the bishop’s office.
Reports are filed online at: https://reports.dfms.org using your previous login information from last year (email address and unique password). If you need assistance logging in, please contact the bishop's office and we can reset it.
-
SUBMITTING FORMS TO THE BISHOP'S OFFICE: As in years past, the Bishop’s office also requires that along with filing the Parochial Report online, the following must be submitted to our office: A copy of the congregation’s report (including a copy of the signed page one) and the financials used to prepare the report.
The report and backup documentation may be submitted to the Bishop's office at dnwtcomm@nwtdiocese.org. If you are not able to email the requested documents, please mail them to Bishop Mayer's office at 1802 Broadway, Lubbock, TX 79401. All documentation must be submitted by the deadline date of March 1st.
FILING THE REPORTS ONLINE
Although a downloadable form is available for your use in the preparation, the reports must be entered online to be marked as complete. If you require assistance, contact the Bishop's office for help. We can even file it online for you if you send us the paper copy and backup.
